Small Business Support Grant

GolfNSW Update

Dear Member Clubs and Districts,

The NSW Government has now changed the eligibility of the $10,000 Small Business Support grant to allow golf Clubs that are registered as a ‘Public Company’ with ‘Not for Profit’ status to claim.

The grant previously precluded public companies limited by guarantee, including Clubs, from applying.

All Clubs which meet the following criteria can and should access this funding:

  • · The Club’s payroll for the 2019-20 year must be less than the tax-free threshold of $900,000
  • · The Club must employ between 1 and 19 full-time employees
  • · The Club must have suffered a reduction in revenue of 75% or more in a two-week period, relative to the same period in 2019

Note that golf Clubs are listed as a highly impacted industry, so they will not need a letter from an accountant/auditor to demonstrate the reduction in revenue.

The $10,000 grant can be used to cover various unavoidable expenses, including; utilities, telecommunications, and insurance, as well as wages and salaries which are not subsidised through the JobKeeper program.

Claims can be made via a simple online application process - just click on the links below for further information, and to apply.
