REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS 2014

The Regional Championships were played at the weekend at Tenterfield. The 36-hole event was played in cool and windy conditions. The overall champion was Robert Payne from Central West District and he produced a masterful display shooting a two round total of 136. His score of six under par gave him a seven-shot margin over Woolgoolga’s Grant Skinner.
Mid North Coast dominated the team rest of the trophy rundown. Looking at the overall Leaderboard it shows Grant Skinner finishing 2nd on 143, Adam Wood (Bonville) and Jack Pountney (Coffs Harbour) taking equal 4th on 145, Chris Neville (Sawtell) was 6th with 146, Zach Ion (Sawtell) and Logan Toms (Woolgoolga) tied 7th on 149 and Peter Mackay (Coffs Harbour) was 9th on 150.
Jack Pountney took out the regional Junior Championship and Peter Mackay was the Senior Champion.
The District team comprising of Aaron Hart, Grant Skinner, Chris Neville, Adam Wood, Logan Toms, together with juniors David Johnson, Zach Ion, Jack Pountney and Seniors Peter Mackay and Don Penson took out the district championship trophy for the best combined score.
The Sandy Cameron Shield for the best Club Team went to the Woolgoolga combination of Grant Skinner, Aaron Hart and Logan Toms.
