We went down 4 games to 2 against LNC at SWR with a very inexperienced team, had I known the full extent of the event I would have selected a stronger team, but, the team that represented us tried their hardest and the new guys we blooded from SWR and Dorrigo were thrilled with the experience and they got a lot out of it. SWR committee and pro could not have done more to make everyone feel welcome and was most appreciated by all. Although our team lost, the players, and it basically came down to experience, where, they fielded 6 players with handicaps ranging from 2 to 7 our players found it difficult to compete being on a much higher handicap re- 16, 18, 12 and 24, I needed our scratch markers to win both matches to have any chance and our number one Jack Pountney won 2 up but Jack Hickey lost 2/1, with Cody Sanders from SWR 24 hcp winning 5/4, the other players could not bring the team home. Still all players enjoyed themselves and the event was played in good spirit. Our team from left to right - Jack Hickey, Jack Pountney, Cody Sanders, Malcolm Ramsey, Eric Moore and Mitch Beaumont.
