GolfNSW offers a Club support service
20 Clubs have used the service already and the Agronomy advise section has just been added
GolfNSW will send a team to your Club to assist where they can
Remember this is why we pay affiliation
New staff members Bernard Bratusa and Jon Shineberg are also valuable resources for our Clubs
They are looking at Government Relations/Communications/sponsorship and marketing
If you have an idea for an event these are the guys to talk with- If you have an ongoing event or special promotion these are the guys to talk with - Both have very strong ties to Government and are aware of very funding opportunity there is available - Golf is a fantastic product –it brings money to a town so the Golf Club must benefit - Use these guys for your event
They are working on building the NSW Open and have a series of ads for television which will be coming to a screen near you
Memo recently from John Hopkins updating areas of handicap work that GA is currently undertaking.
GA has engaged Michael Maher from Statistical Solutions to investigate many aspects of the system introduced in 2014. Golf NSW has seen a draft version of the report of the Profile of Australian Golf scores but as yet it is still a work in progress and not for publication.
Worldwide Handicap System has been on GA’s agenda for some time however no information is currently available.
Golf NSW has also determined to provide an opportunity for Country golfers to play in the Men’s NSW Open Championship, by providing exemptions into the main field for the winners* of the following Regional Events in 2015:
